Inter captain Samir Handanovic put in a strong display in goal to make sure his team walked away with a point from yesterday evening’s 1-1 draw with Napoli in Serie A.

As Italian news outlet L’Interista pointed out, the 37-year-old earned positive scores for his performance in the player ratings for the match in Italian media today.

Handanovic faced up against Napoli captain Lorenzo Insigne when the Partenopei had an early penalty, and even though the Slovenian dove the right way there was no chance that any keeper would have saved Insigne’s effort.

From then on, the Nerazzurri captain made sure that the home side wouldn’t end up with anything more, including producing a brilliant point-blank save from an Elif Elmas effort in the second half.

Tuttosport gave Handanovic a 6/10 score for his performance, while all of the Corriere della Sera, the Gazzetta dello Sport, and L’Interista gave him 6.5/10, and TuttoMercatoWeb and the Corriere dello Sport both awarded him a 7/10 grade.
