Inter defender Alessandro Bastoni is hoping to return to full training with the squad tomorrow ahead of Wednesday’s Champions League round of sixteen clash with Liverpool.
This according to today’s print edition of Milan-based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport, who report that the 22-year-old is aiming to make his return against the Reds and is targeting tomorrow as a key day to get back to full fitness.
Bastoni has been working on his personalized recovery program to get over the ankle injury that he picked up during the Nerazzurri’s Coppa Italia clash with Roma last week, and looks to be making progress.
The defender managed to work on the pitch on his own yesterday without experiencing pain in his right ankle, and could be ready to make a full return by tomorrow.
The club will not rush the 22-year-old back, but he looks to be on track to put the setback behind him soon.
