Inter defender Stefan de Vrij looks to be getting closer and closer to a possible summer exit from the club, with his future less certain than ever.

This according to Italian news outlet Calciomercato.com, who report that the Nerazzurri are ready to listen to offers for the 30-year-old in the summer and that his agent Mino Raiola is prepared to try and find a new club for him.

De Vrij is still fully committed to the rest of the season with the Nerazzurri, and the club still have faith in his ability to be an integral part of the team as they compete on multiple fronts.

However, the Dutchman’s current contract is set to expire at the end of June 2023, and an agreement on an extension looks farther away than ever.

The Nerazzurri will not want to have de Vrij go into the final year of his contract without his situation resolved, and they have been in talks with his agent Raiola who has told them that he will present possible offers for him in the summer.

Given that de Vrij has been going through some of the worst form since he joined the club in the summer of 2018 from Lazio, and exit could be on the cards and could be seen as the right move by all parties.
