Inter are hoping to get the contract extension of midfielder Marcelo Brozovic completely wrapped up within the next ten days.
This according to today’s print edition of Rome-based newspaper Corriere dello Sport, who report that the Nerazzurri are aiming to sign an extension with the 29-year-old very soon.
Inter have been in talks with Brozovic’s representatives since the middle of November, and the talks have progressed well, but total agreement has yet to be found on a new deal for the Croat.
However, the club are planning to hold further meetings in the coming days with the aim of completely wrapping up the extension, with keeping hold of the midfielder whose current deal expires in June a priority.
The aim is to be able to finalize the new deal so that it can be announced within ten days, warding off the possibility of the player running down his contract in the summer amid significant interest from major European clubs.
