Inter’s optimism is growing that they can agree contract extension with captain Samir Handanovic and wing-back Ivan Perisic.
This according to today’s print edition of Rome-based newspaper Corriere dello Sport, who report that the Nerazzurri feel that talks with both players are heading in the right direction.
Both Handanovic and Perisic see their current deals expire at the end of June, but the club want to keep the captain for at least another season, while Perisic’s form this season has made them hope to keep him as well.
Talks have taken place with representatives of both players in the last week or so, and the club feel that things have progressed well.
In the coming days, the club will meet again about both players, and they are increasingly hopeful that the two players will sign extensions for another season or two and that they can work out an agreement in the coming weeks.
