Over 37,000 spectators are expected to be at the San Siro to watch Inter’s Champions League round of sixteen clash with Liverpool on Wednesday.
This according to today’s print edition of Milan-based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport, who additionally report that around 2500 tickets have been allocated for travelling supporters of the Premier League side.
Stadium capacities in Italy are still restricted to 50% due to pandemic regulations, and the half-capacity San Siro sold out quickly for the Nerazzurri’s first Champions League knockout match in a decade.
The total number of tickets sold is 37,918, including both home and away fans, with the approximately 2500 seats in the section for Liverpool fans having also sold out very quickly once they went on sale.
The likes of treble-winning former Inter players such as Diego Milito and Julio Cesar will be among the most prominent faces in attendance as the Nerazzurri look to enjoy another successful evening in Europe’s top competition.
