Inter could face a significant obstacle in their efforts to sign Davide Frattesi from Sassuolo in the form of a clause which means that 30% of any transfer fee for the midfielder would go to Roma.
This according to today’s print edition of Milan-based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport, who report that the clause is making it more difficult to agree on a deal for the 22-year-old between the Nerazzurri and the Neroverdi.
Frattesi is a major target for the Nerazzurri in the summer transfer window as they look to bolster their midfield, and they are in active talks with Sassuolo to try and secure his signature for June.
However, the Neroverdi have acknowledged that there is a clause in the deal that took him to Emilia-Romagna from Roma which means that 30% of any fee if they sell him would be owed to the Giallorossi.
Given that the Neroverdi will wish to monetize Frattesi’s sale as much as possible, it could prove difficult for Inter to make an offer for him that they would accept.
