Former Inter, Roma, and Real Madrid striker Antonio Cassano feels that Alexis Sanchez should always be in the Nerazzurri’s starting eleven.

Speaking on Christian Vieri’s Twitch channel, as reported by FCInterNews, the 39-year-old gave the view that Inter’s attack is at its strongest with the Chilean in it and so he should play regularly.

Sanchez has gradually played his way into form this season after missing out on the early parts of the campaign through injury and not always featuring once he was fit.

Now, the Chilean has become a regular in the team, either from the start or as a substitute, and he has often weighed in with important goals and strong performances in both capacities.

In Cassano’s view, this proves that the 33-year-old is one of the Nerazzurri’s key players, and should be trusted to play from the start in most matches to make the maximum impact.

“If we look at the current form,” he said, “the Inter striker must be Sanchez. In any case, I don’t see Lautaro in a difficult period. No doubt he has competition in Sanchez, who is in good form.”
