Inter coach Simone Inzaghi is still not certain on whether he will start Alexis Sanchez or Lautaro Martinez in tomorrow evening’s Champions League clash with Liverpool.
This according to today’s print edition of Milan-based newspaper Corriere della Sera, who report that the coach will decide between the pair based on what he sees in training to make his decision, though Sanchez is currently favourite.
Inzaghi does not want to make a defensive decision with his starting eleven to face the Reds, as according to the Corriere, he is determined to put in a strong performance and get a win against top-class opposition to show strength.
As such, the coach will play what he sees as his strongest team to try and attack and unsettle the Reds, which should include defender Alessandro Bastoni, who is a key engine of the team’s proactive play when on the pitch.
Meanwhile, Edin Dzeko will start, and the coach will decide between Sanchez and Martinez based on who he thinks will provide the greatest offensive threat.
