Inter are set to give Simone Inzaghi a contract extension in the summer as a reward for his successful first season with the club.

This according to today’s print edition of Rome-based newspaper Corriere dello Sport, who report that the Nerazzurri are completely happy with the job done by the former Lazio coach and will extend his current deal.

Inzaghi arrived on a two-year contract in the summer as the Nerazzurri looked to replace Antonio Conte on the bench following the latter’s shock departure.

The 45-year-old has the Nerazzurri in the round of sixteen of the Champions League for the first time in a decade as well as the Coppa Italia semi-finals, and on course for a second successive Scudetto.

The Nerazzurri have no doubts about Inzaghi being the right man for the forseeable future, and will look to secure his future in order to ensure continuity of his work going forward.
