Matias Vecino will miss out on Inter’s Champions League clash with Liverpool this evening through injury, while Stefan de Vrij is set to start the clash.

This according to today’s print edition of Milan-based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport, who report that the midfielder will not be included in the squad to face the Reds, while de Vrij will not drop to the bench.

Vecino has not recovered from injury in time to be part of the squad for the match, meaning that with Nicolo Barella suspended the Nerazzurri will have just four senior midfielders fit for the match, and Arturo Vidal will start in place of Barella.

Meanwhile, despite reports that Stefan de Vrij could be benched for the match in favour of Danilo D’Ambrosio due to the Dutchman’s poor recent form, the Gazzetta predict that this will not be the case.

The Gazzetta’s complete predicted eleven for the clash is as follows:

INTER (3-5-2): Handanovic; Skriniar, De Vrij, Bastoni; Dumfries, Vidal, Brozovic, Calhanoglu, Perisic; Dzeko, Lautaro.
