Former Inter goalkeeper Julio Cesar has said that Inter can snatch qualification when they travel to Anfield for their Champions League Round of 16 second leg, according to a report in the American broadcast media.

Speaking whilst on Amazon Prime Video, via FCInter1908, Julio Cesar explained that the match was very balanced but Inter played with a lot of personality.

For that reason, he thinks that the Nerazzurri could go to England for the second leg against Liverpool and still qualify for the quarter finals.

“A very balanced match, an Inter with a lot of personality who played very well in the second half. The details are important, Liverpool won it on a set-piece. In England they can snatch the qualification, for me.”

Julio Cesar was part of the Inter squad that last won the Champions League in 2010 under the guidance of Portuguese manager Jose Mourinho. That team also won Serie A and the Coppa Italia in the same season, the only Italian team ever to achieve that feat.

The two goals for Liverpool came inside the last 15 minutes on Wednesday night and were scored by Roberto Firmino and Mohamed Salah.
