Former Inter striker Diego Milito has said that Inter can hurt Liverpool when the two teams face each other against Anfield, according to a report in the American broadcast media.
Speaking after the game whilst on Amazon Prime Video, via FCInter1908, Diego Milito explained that Inter have the players that can hurt Liverpool in the return leg, even though the Nerazzurri are not two goals down after losing 2-0 at San Siro on Wednesday night.
“Inter can hurt Liverpool at Anfield. It will be tough, but Inter have the weapons to do it.”
Diego Milito had a lot of praise for Inter’s overall performance, particularly the first 30minutes of the second half in which Inter really should have found the back of the net.
“Inter put in a great performance, especially the first 30 minutes of the second half which was much better than Liverpool. If you don’t take advantage of your opportunities, it can also happen that you lose in my opinion. The decision to include Firmino at 45 ‘was spot on.”
Diego Milito will always hold a historic place at Inter as he was the man who scored twice against Bayern Munich in the final when Inter last won the Champions League.
Inter lost against Liverpool thanks to goals from Roberto Firmino and Mohamed Salah late in the second half.
