Inter’s lawyer will begin the discussions to appeal Alessandro Bastoni’s two-match ban after he was involved in an altercation at the end of the Derby della Madonnina, according to a report in the Italian print media today.
As has been reported today by Corriere dello Sport, club lawyer Angelo Capellini will tomorrow be turning his attentions towards ensuring Alessandro Bastoni is available to face Sassuolo on Sunday.
The altercation with the officials came when Theo Hernandez was shown a red card in stoppage time at the end of the Milan derby almost two weeks ago. Alessandro Bastoni’s comments towards the officials meant he was handed a two-match suspension.
He served one match against Napoli but Inter feel they have a case for the second match ban to be replaced with a fine as his comments were not threatening or overly offensive.
If the motion is successful, he will be able to face Sassuolo on Sunday.
