Italian journalist Gianluca Di Marzio has revealed the wage that Ivan Perisic wants to receive if he is to remain at Inter next season, according to a report in the Italian broadcast media today.

Speaking whilst on Sky Sport, via FCInter1908, Italian journalist Gianluca Di Marzio revealed that Ivan Perisic wants to be paid €6 million per season if he is to extend his contract with the Nerazzurri which is set to run out in June 2022.

“The Robin Gosens move was important because if Perisic doesn’t stay you already have someone for next year. There is hope that Perisic can lower his very high salary requests.

“Gosens signed at €2.5 million per season, Perisic asks for €6 million: his arrival is a message to Perisic.”

According to Gianluca Di Marzio, the club has told the Croatian winger to see if any other teams would be willing to pay him that high of a wage, suggesting that they are not willing to go as high as €6 million.

“Perisic’s request is legitimate, Inter told him to look around and see if anyone offers him six million, for the moment no one has reached that figure and Perisic has realised that earning that amount and playing for Inter can still be the best thing for his career.”

The Croatian winger has been in excellent form this season under Simone Inzaghi which is why Inter have shown more interest than expected in keeping him beyond the end of this season.
