Inter defender Alessandro Bastoni was not able to help his team to a win against Liverpool in the Champions League, but he defended Reds forward Mohamed Salah well for much of the match.
The 22-year-old looked composed at the back and put his body on the line, and he and his teammates put in a great performance in front of their fans in spite of a disappointing 2-0 defeat to leave their quarter-final hopes on the brink.
Bastoni posted pictures from the match on his Instagram account afterwards to show his pride.
He captioned the post, “We proved our worth tonight. Now on to the league.”
