The agent of Cagliari midfielder Nahitan Nandez has said that Inter made a concrete offer for the player in the past along with other Serie A sides, according to a report in the Uruguayan broadcast media today.
Speaking during an interview on Uruguayan radio station Sport890, via FCInternews, Pablo Bentancur was discussing the transfer situation around his client.
He then revealed that Inter, Napoli, and Juventus have all made offers for the Uruguayan midfielder in the past but now he is just focusing on his physical recovery as he is currently injured.
“Napoli, among others, has made a very concrete offer, as well as Inter and Juventus in the past. Now Nandez is only thinking about recovering.”
Nahitan Nandez looked destined to join Inter in the summer of 2021 on a loan deal from Cagliari that would later be made permanent. It was believed that his ability to play as both a wing back and a central midfielder would be very useful to Inter.
The talks broke down when Cagliari and Inter could not agree on a loan fee.
