Inter and Croatian winger Ivan Perisic have moved even closer in their negotiations for a contract extension, according to a report in the Italian media today.

As has been reported by La Gazzetta dello Sport today, the fact that Ivan Perisic has not received any offers recently from Premier League or Bundesliga sides means that he is open to calmer negotiations with Inter in regard to his salary.

The winger initially wanted Inter to make his new salary €6 million per season which is too high for Inter to agree to. The Nerazzurri were willing to offer €4 million per season.

The two parties now look set to meet in the middle on a contract that including the achievable bonuses, would see Ivan Perisic earn €5 million per season for the next two years.

Next week could be decisive in the negotiations as the agreement could be found and announced.
