Marcelo Brozovic’s contract extension with Inter should be announced next week by the club, according to a report in the Italian print media today.

As was reported by Corriere della Sera, the agreement with the Croatian midfielder has been in place for some time now and it is just the final little details that have been missing for the last few weeks.

That is why it is plausible that the agreement will finally be reached and announced next week as time is running out for the club.

It has been many months since the negotiations between the two parties started to keep the player at the club beyond the end of this season.

There were times when it appeared that an agreement would not be reached for financial reasons but the player’s overwhelming desire to continue his time at Inter as well as the club’s improved financial position means that they were able to meet in the middle.
