Inter are working on agreeing a deal with Sassuolo to sign Gianluca Scamacca on an initial paid loan which includes an obligation to sign him on a permanent basis.
This according to today’s print edition of Turin-based newspaper Tuttosport, who report that the Nerazzurri are aiming for a similar formula to the one which saw Juventus sign Manuel Locatelli from the Neroverdi last summer.
Scamacca is the Nerazzurri’s principle target in attack for the summer, and the player has already made clear that a move to Inter is his preferred destination.
The Neroverdi value the 22-year-old at around €40 million, though this could rise should his form over the rest of the season have a further upswing, which is part of why Inter are aiming to secure a deal for him early.
The Nerazzurri’s aim is to make a deal for the striker financially viable by bringing him in on loan initially, and then making the deal a permanent transfer in the following season.
