Liverpool defender Andrew Robertson feels that Inter will present a big challenge for his team at Anfield on March 8 despite the Reds’ 2-0 advantage from the first leg.

Speaking to to the press, as reported by L’Interista, the Scot expected a strong Nerazzurri performance and stressed that Liverpool are not treating the tie as if it’s wrapped up despite the scoreline.

Liverpool took an excellent result away from the San Siro, and many will feel that the 2-0 win has allowed them to put one foot into the quarter-finals of Europe’s top competition.

The Nerazzurri will at the very least feel that they have a real mountain to climb in the away leg at Anfield next month if they want to have any hope of getting to the next round.

However, the Nerazzurri had an encouraging performance in the first leg despite the result, showing that they can impose their style of football against Liverpool, and Robertson emphasized that the Reds are taking nothing for granted.

“This tie isn’t over,” Robertson said. “Inter are an excellent team, they proved it.”

“In the return leg they’ll come to Anfield full of confidence, feeling that they can cause us problems and still end up in the last eight,” he added.
