Inter are optimistic that they will be able to agree a contract extension with wing-back Ivan Perisic.

This according to today’s print edition of Turin-based newspaper Tuttosport, who report that the Nerazzurri feel that they will be able to agree on a new two-year deal worth around €4.5 million net per season with the 33-year-old.

Inter met with Perisic’s representatives early this month to seriously begin talks about the possibility of a renewal, and the club are ready to move forward with the negotiations.

The player also hopes to stay, but wants the club to offer him a deal which he feels reflects his status as an important player in the team, having been one of the Nerazzurri’s standout performers this season.

Inter feel that they can satisfy this request with an offer worth €4.5 million net per seasons which would run until the end of June 2024, and that at such an amount an agreement can be found with the Croat.
