Inter-owned striker Sebastiano Esposito was left out of his loan club Basil’s 3-0 win over Lausanne yesterday and this may have been for disciplinary reasons.

This according to today’s print edition of Swiss newspaper Basler Zeitung, who suggest that in spite of the official reason for the absence being given by the club being injury, the player may have been left out after an argument with the assistant coach.

Esposito reportedly had an argument with Boris Smiljanic, assistant to Basil head coach Patrick Rahmen, during training.

The 19-year-old was not included in the Swiss side’s match against Lausanne yesterday, and the official reason given by the coach was that he had sustained a minor injury during a training session on artificial turf.

However, according to Basley Zeitung the actual issue may have related to his argument with Smiljanic, which would be yet another disciplinary problem for the young striker in Switzerland.
