Italian journalist Paolo Condo feels that even though Inter don’t have what looks like a difficult schedule there are still stumbling blocks ahead of them.

Writing in his column in today’s print edition of Rome-based newspaper La Repubblica, Condo emphasized that even though the Nerazzurri do not play their strongest opponents over the rest of the Serie A campaign, there are still teams who can be difficult for them.

Inter will face Sassuolo this weekend before taking on Genoa and Salernitana, and apart from facing Juventus early in April these are typical of the kinds of fixtures that they have coming up.

However, the Neroverdi are a typical bogey team for the Nerazzurri and did not give them an easy time in the reverse fixture towards the beginning of the season.

As Condo stressed, the Nerazzurri will have a number of difficult matches even if they have already faced their direct title rivals.

“The remaining schedule is favourable to Inter,” he writes. “The difficulties in head-to-head clashes with direct rivals are redeemed by the almost flawless path against the other teams, those from Fiorentina down.”

“Thirteen wins and a draw (at Sampdoria) demonstrate their ability not to get tripped up by teams theoretically inferior to them,” he adds.

He goes on that “The projections say that from now on Inter might lose very few points, closing in the 85-90 zone which is almost always good enough for the Scudetto.”

“But watch out for the pitfalls along the way,” he continues, “tomorrow, for example, Sassuolo will visit San Siro, a team who play excellent young players and pick their moments against the big teams.”
