Inter lost to Liverpool in the Champions League in midweek to cap off a frustrating start to February, and a win against Sassuolo this evening will be important to getting back on their feet.

This according to today’s print edition of Turin-based newspaper Tuttosport, who suggest that one of the Nerazzurri’s strengths so far this season has been not getting bogged down by losses, and they must do this again.

Inter have lost four times in all competitions this season before the defeat to Liverpool, away to Lazio in Serie A, home and away against Real Madrid in the Champions League group stage, and then a derby defeat to AC Milan earlier this month.

On all occasions, the team did not let themselves get bogged down by the result, but instead responded with a win in their next game.

Most recently, the Nerazzurri put the frustrating of a late knockout blow at the hands of Milan in the derby behind them with an important Coppa Italia win over Roma.

However, the victory over the Giallorossi was followed by last weekend’s match against Napoli in which Inter had to settle for a point, and then disappointment as the Nerazzurri suffered a 0-2 defeat against Liverpool despite going toe-to-toe with the European heavyweights.

With the run-in for the season in all competitions upon them, it is more important than every for the Nerazzurri to show that they can get past the setback of a bruising sequence of matches against some of their biggest rivals.

Inter face the Neroverdi in Serie A this evening, not straightforward opposition by any means, and they will have putting their setback against Liverpool behind them on their minds as they go in search of three points.
