Sassuolo striker Gianluca Scamacca is set to face Inter at the San Siro in this evening’s Serie A clash, and it will be the first time he faces the Nerazzurri at their home stadium.

As Turin-based newspaper Tuttosport highlight, this could be not only his first match against the Nerazzurri at the San Siro but also his last, should he join them in the summer as has been heavily linked.

Scamacca is one of the Nerazzurri’s principle transfer targets for the summer, with the young striker having been identified as the right player to revitalize the team’s attack for the future.

The 23-year-old has already played once at the San Siro this campaign in Serie A, scoring once and forcing an own goal in an impressive win over AC Milan by the Neroverdi.

Now, he will have another audition of sorts at the stadium, where he could be playing on a more regular basis next season should he make the switch to wearing a Nerazzurri shirt.
