Inter have looked badly in need of a lift in some recent matches, and they could look to January arrivals Robin Gosens and Felipe Caicedo to give them something more.

This according to today’s print edition of Rome-based newspaper Corriere dello Sport, who suggest that the two new boys’ could give a new dimension to the Nerazzurri’s play once they make their debuts.

Caicedo has not yet been used for the Nerazzurri despite having recovered from the injury which kept him out of the first couple matches since joining, but could soon be trusted to either come off the bench or even start matches with Inter having looked toothless in front of goal in recent matches.

Meanwhile, Gosens is targeting a return from his injury in Friday’s Serie A clash with Genoa, and could quickly come into the team on a regular basis to give Ivan Perisic some room to catch his breath.

Both players were signed to add an extra bit of quality and incisiveness to the Nerazzurri’s play over the run-in, and the team will almost certainly have to turn to them soon given how they’ve fared in recent matches.
