Inter fell to a shock third defeat of their Serie A season yesterday evening, losing to Sassuolo at the San Siro after first-half goals by Gianluca Scamacca and Giacomo Raspadori.

The defeat came at the hands of a team who have also taken scalps from the likes of Juventus, Lazio, and city rivals AC Milan this season, but this didn’t make it sting any less, especially coming in front of their fans at the San Siro.

As football statistics account Opta pointed out, the Rossoneri had also lost to Sassuolo at home, and this was the first time that the Neroverdi had been both Milan teams at the San Siro in one season.

They tweeted, “2 – For the first time @SassuoloUS  have won both their away matches at Meazza stadium in a single Serie A campaign v Inter and AC Milan. Conquest.”
