Few Inter players emerged with any credit from yesterday evening’s 2-0 loss to Sassuolo in Serie A, but a few players in particular were well below what should be expected from them.

The likes of Samir Handanovic, Lautaro Martinez, and Alexis Sanchez were singled out as the worst culprits in the player ratings for the defeat published in today’s print edition of Turin-based newspaper Tuttosport.

Captain Handanovic received a 4.5/10 grade for his unconvincing goalkeeping, especially on Giacomo Raspadori’s opener, while Martinez and Sanchez received even lower scores of 4/10 for their toothless displays in attack.

The Nerazzurri received low scores virtually across the board, with coach Simone Inzaghi getting a 5/10 grade for the lax attitude of the team in possession in the first half and then the ineffective change in shape at the start of the second.

Ivan Perisic was given a 6/10 grade, the highest among Inter’s players, for trying to drive the team on despite being culpable on Sassuolo’s second goal, while Denzel Dumfries was awarde 5.5/10 based on the boost he gave the team down the right after coming on.
