Inter are becoming more and more optimistic that they will be able to agree on a contract extension with wing-back Ivan Perisic.

This according to today’s print edition of Milan-based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport, who report that the Croat is still surveying his options but that he now looks likelier than ever to agree a new deal with the Nerazzurri.

Perisic is still aiming for a deal worth €6 million net per season, but this is beyond what the Nerazzurri would be willing to offer so he is waiting to see if an offer of that size comes in from the Premier League or the Bundesliga.

However, the player has warmed to the possibility of extending with Inter in recent talks, and with it looking less likely that a satisfactory offer will arrive from elsewhere, he looks to be moving towards extending.

The Nerazzurri have risen to around €4 million net per season with their potential offer, and an agreement on a new contract could be found at around €5 million net, between the two parties’ current amounts.
