Chelsea’s Andreas Christensen, Feyenoord’s Marcos Senesi, and Eintracht Frankfurt’s Martin Hinteregger are among the defenders who Inter are tracking as potential defensive reinforcements for the summer.

This according to today’s print edition of Milan-based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport, who report that the Nerazzurri are considering the trio as targets in the event that Stefan de Vrij leaves during the January transfer window.

Should de Vrij not sign a contract extension then he could be allowed to leave rather than go into the final year of his deal, and the Nerazzurri are prepared for this eventuality.

Chelsea’s Christensen sees his current contract expire at the end of the summer and is looking for a club where he would be a regular starter, while the Dane earns around €4.5 million net per season, within Inter’s range.

Meanwhile, the club is also monitoring Argentine international Senesi at Feyenoord, although there is no lack of competition for the 24-year-old, whose current deal expires at the end of June 2023.

Lastly, the Nerazzurri also consider Austrian international Hinteregger to be a potential target who could be signed from Eintracht, whilst Lazio’s Luiz Felipe remains an option from within Serie A.
