Inter head coach Simone Inzaghi has no reservations about continuing to put his trust in out-of-form striker Lautaro Martinez.

This according to today’s print edition of Rome-based newspaper Corriere dello Sport, who report that the coach wants to keep going with the 24-year-old as his main attacker and has faith that he will return to form.

Martinez’s poor form in front of goal has been one of the Nerazzurri’s most prominent individual issues across their recent run of bad results.

This has led to some calls for the Argentine to be dropped, but the coach still feels that once Martinez gets back into the swing he will be a more than reliable option up front.

Additionally, the coach does not see Alexis Sanchez as a viable first-choice starter, whilst the likes of Joaquin Correa and Felipe Caicedo do not have the reliability to displace Martinez.

The coach still feels that Martinez and Edin Dzeko can be the strongest partnership in attack and is persevering with the Argentine in the belief that he will soon get back to his best.
