Italian journalist Fabrizio Biasin believes that Inter-owned striker Andrea Pinamonti is close to the level of Sassuolo’s Gianluca Scamacca.

Speaking on the Twitch channel of Italian news outlet Calciomercato.com, as reported by FCInter1908, Biasin gave the view that the 22-year-old is not far off of Scamacca’s level based on his loan spell with Empoli this season.

Scamacca looks to be one of the Nerazzurri’s major transfer targets to bolster their attack in the summer, while Pinamonti’s future with his parent club remains unclear.

Scamacca’s form has made him a transfer target for a number of top clubs, though Inter look to be well in the lead for his signature, whilst Pinamonti has also been one of the standout centre-forwards of this Serie A campaign.

Biasin believes that Pinamonti has shown enough to be considered in the same bracket as the touted Neroverdi striker based on their respective performances this season.

“Pinamonti so far below Scamacca?” he posed. “I think Gianluca is potentially very good and will have a great career, but I think Pinamonti is not far off of him.”

“Andrea can do his job at a very high level,” he went on, “he’s not so far off Scamacca in that sense.”
