Inter duo Lautaro Martinez and Samir Handanovic have been the two players at Inter to have experienced the most concerning individual form amidst the team’s wobble as a whole.

This according to today’s print edition of Turin-based newspaper Tuttosport, who brand the pair as “symbols of a bad period in form” at the Nerazzurri who are in need of a turnaround most acutely among their teammates.

The Nerazzurri have endured their worst month of the season in February, dropping points against Scudetto rivals AC Milan and Napoli before being disappointed to lose to Liverpool in the Champions League and then suffering a shock defeat to Sassuolo.

During that period, Martinez has not gotten on the scoresheet once despite starting regularly, as the Argentine continues on a run of poor form in front of goal that has seen him score just once, from the penalty spot, in eleven matches.

Meanwhile, Handanovic has let in goals more often than not in his recent outings for the Nerazzurri, frequently giving the sense that he could have done more, if not having committed outright errors.

Martinez and Handanovic occupy key roles at both ends of the pitch, and if the team is to get back to their best across the run-in then both players must get past their current poor form.
