Referee Daniele Chiffi has been appointed to take charge of Inter’s Serie A clash with Genoa on Friday.

This is confirmed by the Italian referees’ association the AIA, who also name the entire crew of officials to be in charge of the fixture.

The likes of Emanuele Prenna and Valerio Vecchi will assist Chiffi in his duties, while the role of fourth official will be filled by Andrea Colombo.

In the VAR booth, Paolo Mazzoleni will oversee the match to ensure that any errors made by the officials are corrected, while Alessio Tolfo will assist him in his duties in looking at the on-pitch decisions.

The Nerazzurri will be hoping that the focus is on the action on the pitch rather than on any refereeing controversies as they go in search of their first Serie A win in four matches and bounce back from their damaging recent defeat against Sassuolo.
