Chelsea striker Romelu Lukaku is willing to reduce his salary in order to return to Inter in the summer but a move is not as simple as that, according to a report in the Italian media today.

As has been reported today by La Gazzetta dello Sport, the Belgian forward has decided that he is not happy at Chelsea and made a mistake when he left Inter last summer for the Premier League side.

He wants to return and is willing to take a reduction on the €12.5 million salary he earns at Chelsea. He may even need to reduce the €8.5 million that he would have been earning had he stayed at Inter.

Chelsea paid a huge fee of over €100 million for Romelu Lukaku and they will not want to let him join Inter on a deal cheap enough for the Nerazzurri to pay.

Inter may stick to their plans of Sassuolo’s Gianluca Scamacca and Juventus’ Paulo Dybala.
