Former Genoa midfielder and head coach Attilio Perotti has said that the Grifone are meeting a very tough opponent in Inter on Friday night, according to a report in the Italian media.

Speaking during an interview with TMW Radio, Attilio Perotti took stock of Genoa’s tough season so far that has left them sitting second from bottom in Serie A and staring down the barrel of a historic relegation.

He admitted that Inter are a very tough opponent for the Grifone which is shown by how they are trying to win the Scudetto for a second season running.

“We had two opportunities and we weren’t able to take them. The table situation is difficult and tomorrow we meet an opponent, Inter, who are aiming to win the Scudetto. It’s tough, but a positive change will come.”

Inter will be welcoming back some key players to the starting eleven for the match at the Stadio Luigi Ferraris such as Alessandro Bastoni and Marcelo Brozovic.

There will be a lot of pressure on the Nerazzurri to perform after they suffered a surprise 2-0 defeat at home to Sassuolo last weekend.
