Inter striker Edin Dzeko insists that his side are determined to snatch all three points against Genoa in Serie A on Friday, despite their opponents’ form.

The Nerazzurri travel to the Stadio Luigi Ferraris looking for a first win in four league games, having suffered defeats to AC Milan and Sassuolo, either side of a draw against Napoli. Genoa, meanwhile, are unbeaten in four, but have failed to win any of those.

In an interview with Inter TV before kick-off, as reported by FCInterNews.it, the Bosnia international reflected on his debut against Genoa on the opening day of the season, as well as the difficulties that awaited the Nerazzurri in the game.

“My debut seems a long time ago. It was a good debut for me too, but we have to think about tonight’s match which will be very difficult,” the summer arrival from Roma claimed.

“They have a new coach and are in a good moment. They haven’t lost yet under him and have had several draws in a row. A difficult game awaits us with many battles, but we are prepared. We have to think about how to do well and we hope to be able to take home the victory.”

The veteran striker admitted that his side had not been in great form recently, but was adamant that victory over the Grifone was the only thing that mattered.

“Tonight the three points count are all that count. It is difficult to always play well, and lately we have not been at our best, but we must also look at the calendar. We have had more direct matches than anyone, and we’re a little tired, but now we have to think about tonight’s game,” he concluded.
