With Inter set to visit Genoa in Serie A this evening, the Nerazzurri’s phenomenal record against the Grifone has been highlighted by Italian media.

As reported in today’s newspaper edition of Corriere della Sera, Inter have a perfect record against the relegation battlers over their past seven encounters, with victory in each match.

Even more impressively, the Nerazzurri have kept a clean sheet in all seven matches, whilst at the other end they’ve netted 25 goals at an average of 3.5 per game, highlighting their dominance over the Rossoblu.

The match at the Stadio Luigi Ferraris is being viewed as an opportunity for Inter’s misfiring attackers to find some form, with Lautaro Martinez in particular being in need of a goal. Indeed, the Argentina international’s only strike over the past two months has come from the penalty spot.

Coach Simone Inzaghi had hoped to rest players ahead of the midweek Coppa Italia match against AC Milan, but recent poor form in Serie A has meant Inter cannot afford to risk dropping more points and a full-strength team will be named.

Goalkeeper and captain Samir Handanovic will retain his place whilst Martinez will start up front, and midfielder Marcelo Brozovic is expected to return to the starting line-up.
