Lazio defender Francesco Acerbi could be on the move in the summer with the 33-year-old having a tense relationship with the fans currently, and Inter could look to sign him.

This according to today’s print edition of Rome-based newspaper Corriere dello Sport, who report that the Nerazzurri are monitoring the situation as Acerbi looks to sort out his future in the Italian capital.

Acerbi has been out with an injury since January, and while he could make his return soon, his future with the Biancocelesti beyond the end of June remains in doubt.

The defender has a contract with Lazio until the end of June 2025, but recent fractured relationship with the club’s supporters could mean that he leaves well before then.

Acerbi’s agents Andrea and Federico Pastorello will meet with the club tomorrow, and more should be known about his future.

Should the defender leave the club, then Inter could seek to reunite him with his old Biancocelesti coach Simone Inzaghi.
