Former Inter defender Daniele Adani feels that both the Nerazzurri and city rivals AC Milan are having difficulties in attack ahead of Tuesday’s Coppa Italia clash between the two.

Speaking to Italian broadcaster RAI2, the former defender highlighted the struggles of both sides to find the back of the net ahead of the derby clash in the semi-final first leg.

Both the Nerazzurri and the Rossoneri have been among Serie A’s most prolific sides across the season, but in recent weeks both teams have looked some way off their best.

In Inter’s case, this has manifested in 313 minutes across all competitions without scoring a goal, as the team have not quite created the kinds of chances that they had been a few weeks ago, and have not been able to finish those chances that they have created.

Adani noted that this could be a factor as the two sides meet for the third time this season, stating that “The two sides lack clarity in attack, they’re struggling. Inter create a lot of chances but fails to finish, Milan need Ibrahimovic more than ever.”
