Inter and AC Milan have paid a total of €49 million in rent for the use of the San Siro since the beginning of the 2015-16 season.

This according to Italian news outlet Calcio e Finanza, who report that the Nerazzurri and the Rossoneri have run at a slight loss in terms of their use of the stadium thanks to the losses of revenue due to the pandemic.

The two clubs took in revenues of just €11.2 million from the use of the stadium during the 2021-22 season, compared to €21.3 million during the 2019-20 season.

This was due to the lack of fans in the stadium throughout the season as well as the closure of the store, museum, and tours of the stadium due to the pandemic.

As such, the two clubs recorded a €3.9 million loss between them for the 2021-22 season, the only season in which stadiums were fully closed in Italy due to the pandemic.
