Inter forward Alexis Sanchez has found that his form has “collapsed into a black hole” according to Italian media.

The Chilean’s struggles are highlighted in today’s print edition of Milan-based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport, who argue that he has done little to help the team since his cup heroics against Juventus and Roma.

Sanchez was the Nerazzurri’s goalscorer late on in their dramatic last-gasp extra time win over Juventus in the Supercoppa Italiana, with his display leading to calls for him to feature more regularly.

Against the Giallorossi in the Coppa Italia, the 33-year-old started, and he sealed the 2-0 win with a second half wondergoal from distance, further enhancing his standing within the team.

However, recent starts against the likes of Genoa and Sassuolo have seen Sanchez find very little way to impact the game positively in attack as the Nerazzurri have suffered damaging dropped points.

According to the Gazzetta, the Chilean’s recent form has been nowhere near what the team will have hoped for after he seemed to announce himself with his strikers against the Biancoenri and the Giallorossi.
