Sassuolo striker Gianluca Scamacca is happy with the transfer links to top Italian clubs amid the strong interest of Inter.

Speaking to Italian broadcaster LA7, the 23-year-old emphasized that being linked with a move to the biggest clubs in Italy only causes him to work harder and become more confident.

Scamacca is reportedly one of the Nerazzurri’s main attacking targets for the summer transfer window, as his form since returning to Sassuolo on loan this season has led the club to see him as the right man to lead the attack into the future.

The young striker was on target in the Neroverdi’s win over Inter last weekend only further cemented his reputation and the links to a transfer to the Nerazzurri during the summer.

Right now Scamacca is focused on his club, but he is not intimidated by links to the top sides such as Inter.

“There are those who suffer from the pressure and turn it into negative energy, and those who feel even more stimulated by it,” he said of the linkes. “For me it inspires me even more, it’s a motivation.”
