Former Napoli defender Salvatore Aronica believes that Inter and Napoli are the two teams who will fight for the Scudetto until the very end of the season.

Speaking to Italian broadcaster TuttoMercatoWeb, the former defender named the Partenopei and the Nerazzurri as the teams with the quality to go all the way in the Serie A title race.

Napoli’s last-gasp winner against Lazio yesterday meant that they took advantage of the dropped points by both AC Milan and Inter on Friday, and gained two points in ground in the title race.

The Partenopei will also face the Rossoneri in their next match, and it is virtually certain to be a clash which has significant Scudetto implications.

Aronica feels that based on the quality of the sides, it is Napoli and Inter who will be the main participants in the title race in the end.

“They’re equipped to win,” he said of his former side the Partenopei. “They have quality and consistency, regardless of getting knocked out of Europe. They and Inter will go head-to-head.”
