Legendary former Juventus, Napoli, and Italian national team goalkeeper Dino Zoff feels that Simone Inzaghi has done a good job in difficult circumstances at Inter.

Speaking to Milan-based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport, the former keeper noted the strength of the Nerazzurri as one of the standout features of this Serie A season.

Inzaghi came in during the summer to take the place of Antonio Conte, and he lost the likes of Achraf Hakimi and Romelu Lukaku from last campaign’s Scudetto-winning team while the club had to use limited funds to replace them.

However, the Nerazzurri have managed to keep their level high in the league while also having a significant improvement in the Champions League compared to last season.

Zoff is impressed with what he’s seen from the former Lazio coach’s Nerazzurri team, especially in light of the significance of the players lost during the summer.

He spoke about the “Solidity of this Inter side, and the path forged by Inzaghi who has created a new balance to the team despite some big sales in the summer.”
