Inter could try to sign AC Milan midfielder Franck Kessie on a free transfer in the summer ahead of Barcelona.

This according to Italian news outlet Gazzetta.it, who report that the Ivorian could be a target for the Nerazzurri especially in the event that a midfielder already at the club departs in the summer.

Kessie’s deal at Milan is set to expire at the end of June, and it is all but certain that he will not renew with the Rossoneri and will leave for a new club in the summer.

A number of clubs have shown an interest in signing the 24-year-old, with Paris Saint-Germain having been interested but now moved on to other targets, while the Blaugranas are reportedly in advanced talks with him.

However, the Nerazzurri are not totally out of the race, and see Kessie as a target in a similar vein to Hakan Calhanoglu who they signed for a free transfer from their city rivals last summer.
