Inter defender Stefan de Vrij is thinking about a move to a Premier League club during the summer transfer window.

This according to today’s print edition of Milan-based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport, who report that the 29-year-old won’t necessarily renew with the Nerazzurri and is tempted by a switch to England, though no offers have yet arrived.

De Vrij’s current deal is set to expire at the end of June 2023, but while there had been talks on an extension before the pandemic, the financial situation at the club has changed things.

The Dutchman has long expressed an interest in playing in the Premier League at some point in his career, and he could decide to make the move after the end of this season.

No offers have yet come in, but a number of English clubs have expressed interest in the defender in the past, and the Nerazzurri would prefer to sell him over letting him go into the last year of his contract without a renewal.
