Inter-linked defender Bremer has an official pact in his most recent contract extension with Torino that his club will agree to sell him in the summer.

This according to today’s print edition of Turin-based newspaper Tuttosport, who report that the Brazilian’s deal includes a clause which states that the Granata will sell him to the highest bidder, and that if no bidding war occurs, that he can be sold for €25 million.

Bremer signed a contract extension with the Granata last month, taking him from the end of June 2023 to the end of June 2024.

The intention of the extension was not to prolong the player’s time at the club, but rather to ensure that they had more leverage in negotiating with potential buyers, with the 24-year-old subject of significant interest based on his form this season.

Torino believe that they can sell Bremer for a significant fee, and did not want to be in the position of negotiating based on him going into the final year of his deal.

The defender had been widely reported to have an agreement with Torino that they would allow him to leave in the summer, and this is in fact more than an informal agreement, and is ratified into his contract.

According to Tuttosport, the clause is that the Granata will be obliged to sell the defender to the highest bidder during the summer transfer window, and that if a bid of €25 million arrives and none higher, then they will sell him to that club.
