Salernitana Franck Ribery will be out of the team for Friday’s Serie A clash with Inter after suffering minor injuries in a car accident yesterday.

This according to Italian news outlet FCInterNews, who report that the Frenchman will be out for around a week through the mild head injury that he sustained in the accident.

Salernitana coach Davide Nicola confirmed that the former Bayern Munich and Fiorentina forward will not be part of the squad for the clash.

The experienced Frenchman has been an important player for the newly-promoted side in attack this campaign, although there are several other signings who they can rely on.

Meanwhile, Nicola is hopeful of getting striker Federico Bonazzoli, the Granata’s top scorer this campaign, back for his team’s away trip to face the Nerazzurri at the San Siro.

Salernitana currently sit bottom of the table in Serie A, but there recent form has given them some optimism about making a late push for survival.
